Bormio is first of all known for its thermal waters and for its alpine ski area, but it can offer also many good possibilities for the ice climbing lovers. A first exploration took place in the early eighties, mainly thanks to the Guides: Eraldo Meraldi and Adriano Greco.
Bormio area has many valleys in which is possible to find ice falls, the most famous are: Val del Braulio, Val dei Forni, Cancano and Val di Rezzalo.
