Alpine Ski
Exclusive ski lessons completely dedicated to your needs and level. From the rental, to the restaurant or après-ski, our Instructors will not only be good technicians, but also Guides able to accompany you in every aspect.
Our Mountain Guides, also qualified as Ski Instructors, will lead you along a training and/or a discovery path to learn/improve your skiing technique and see the most beautiful corners of Alta Valtellina ski area.
We offer hours or private days suitable for all levels and ages.
Cost: 50€/hour + 10€ each additional person

Kids and Teens SpecialBormio Mountain Guides will be happy to guide your children through some activities related to the Mountain’s world. All the safety and movement skills will be the core of a formative and very fun path.

- DISCOVER THE VERTICAL EMOTION. Climbing trial open to everyone at the Mountain Guide’s wall c/o Oliver bar Bormio.
Every Monday and Wednesday
Duration: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Contribution: 5€ for 3 climbs
- ROCK CLIMBING COURSE. Daily climbing course on the Alta Valtellina crags for the children from 8 to 15 years old.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Duration: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Meeting: directly at the choosen crag. The Guides will give you the meeting point details.
Price: 30€ per person (4 to 6 people per Guide).
The price includes the Mountain Guide and the mountaineering equipment rental. Climbing shoes available for rental at Celso Sport shop in Bormio.

Safety CampSAFETY CAMP (DOWNLOAD PDF)
A day focused on avalanche rescue and snow safety.
The camp could be useful to all free skiers, ski mountaineers, hikers and, in general, to all those who frequent the mountain in winter. It is also suitable for children/teens from ski clubs or occasional skiers.
The aim is to raise awareness of correct off-piste behaviour.

- How to use avalanche rescue equipment
- Avalanche self-rescue simulation
The course is offered in two levels depending on the experience already gained. To take a second level course, it is recommended to have already taken a first level course.
Winter Activities Calendar 2024
Val S. Giacomo or Valle Spluga is the deep valley that from Chiavenna climbs up to the Spluga Pass on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is long more or less twenty kilometers and it has high and wild rocky walls, on which many ice falls appear every winter.

Bormio Ice ClimbingBormio is first of all known for its thermal waters and for its alpine ski area, but it can offer also many good possibilities for the ice climbing lovers. A first exploration took place in the early eighties, mainly thanks to the Guides: Eraldo Meraldi and Adriano Greco.
Bormio area has many valleys in which is possible to find ice falls, the most famous are: Val del Braulio, Val dei Forni, Cancano and Val di Rezzalo.

Valmalenco Ice ClimbingValmalenco is the long valley that starts from Sondrio and go to the north. It is surrounded by big mountains which finding their highest point with Pizzo Bernina, the most eastern 4000 mt. of the Alps. Valmalenco offers every type of ice falls in a magnificent alpine contest.

Val Paghera Ice ClimbingVal Paghera is certainly one of the best place for those who want to climb ice falls in Lombardy. The north facing, the low temperatures and the continuous water flow from the Lake Aviolo above, are all favorable elements for the creation of many ice falls, even in the warm periods.
The most famous and repeated ice falls is Terrordactyl, whose name remind to the first ice axes for ice climbing made by Hamish Maclnnes in 1964.
