The Bormio Alpine Guides propose a fantastic snowshoe hike with lunch at the refuge.

An easy excursion, suitable for adults and children, to discover the most beautiful valleys of Valfurva and the wildlife of the Stelvio National Park. Our guides, experts in the alpine environment, will teach you to recognise local plants and animals, and to see the mountain through the eyes of those who live there all year round. They will tell anecdotes and tales of life lived in these valleys. Botany, zoology, mineralogy and the history of the events that took place during the First World War will frame our hike. Without forgetting a bit of fun in the fresh snow!!!

After a good hike, there is no better thing than being welcomed in a typical alpine hut. We will enjoy the delicacies of typical Valtellina cuisine (sciatta, pinzocheri, bresaola and local cheeses) in one of the most characteristic refuges in Alta Valtellina.

Duration: approx. 5 hours (10:00-15:00)

Equipment:

• Boots or after-ski boots (Moon boots not recommended)
• Backpack
• Clothing suitable for winter trekking in the snow (ski suits not recommended)
• Water bottle, Gloves, Cap, Glasses

Price: 45 € per person including snowshoe and pole hire. 40 € per person for those who already have the necessary equipment. 25 € for children aged 8 to 14 if accompanied by 2 adults. (Lunch is not included)

Group: max. 15 people per guide

A basic level of physical fitness is required. Suitable for children (8 to 10 years old). Activities will be accompanied by a certified mountain guide.
